Well it was back to class today.  Not too bad though seeing how I probably have the most ridiculous schedule this semester.  11 MW and 11 T TH.  And that's it.  I have 3 internet classes on top of that.  Seeing how I've completed all of my core classes here, I'm basically wasting time on the Hill.

Other than class...basketball is going pretty good.  3-2 for this semester.  1-1 in conference play.  We have another big game tomorrow night.  Hope we can pull off a W!  I'm still praying that the Lord will direct my steps for where He wants me next year.  I am going to Covenant Feb. 3rd-4th for a visit.  They have a home game that weekend.  I'm really excited to see the school and meet some of the girls.  Coach Heinze (Cov. coach) came to my first conference game.  We didn't play too well as a team, but we had a great talk after the game.  Soooo we will see how all of this goes.  This recruiting business has been interesting.  But I know that God is faithful and I will end up at the right place. 

Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Home for Thanksgiving!  Wish I had a little more time off, but I'm THANKFUL for the day I have anyway.

We miss Duce.  This is the first time I've been home since he's been gone.  A little sad.  I can't even count how many miles that puppy ran with me.  I will miss my faithful running partner. 

Had a good birt-day.  And thanks to those of you who fed my addiction to the OC once again!  You know I love ya. 

The Naval Academy has accepted an invitation to play in the inaugural San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl Thursday, December 22 at 7:30 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California against a Mountain West team. The game will be televised by ESPN2.---Looks like that's where I will be for Christmas break!  Looking forward to seeing Jake.  I havnt been able to go to any games with the fam because of bball. 

Lady Rebel basketball is going good.  "Just keep going hard and doing what you do" is what they tell me.  Is there any strategy in this?  Joe White Classic over the break.  I'll be playing all weekend. 

Went over to Nat's tonight.  Had a great talk, with Momma J, as we always do.  Riding bikes just brings out the best in us!  How many miles you think we went...in a circle?!?

Been a crazy past few weeks.  They seem to just fly by.  I live for those weekend naps.  Basketball occupies the majority of my time.  Playing twice a week wears ya out.  I love my girls!  We all went out to my house last week for a great dinner and camp fire.  Half my team had never roasted s'mores!  First time experiences are always interesting...we will leave it at that! 

Took a random road trip to Tyler last night.  Had to take a friend her car, which failed to start when she had to get back for practice.  Yes, God must have a sense of humor.  But what can I say Kimber and I made the best of a poopy situation and had a great time.  Even if we don't know where the stinkin' loop is! 

I was reading through my devotional today and this verse hit me.  I guess it's just in my blood to compare everything to a sport, game, or situation in life... 

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.  Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.  Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.  No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize."

Wow life is busy!  Had today off from basketball, so I have been enjoying having an afternoon to regroup.  Heard from a good friend this morning.  Was nice to hear your voice.  It amazes me how you have those friends that are going to be there for you no matter what.  It might have been a week, a month or maybe even longer since you last talked, but you know they always care.  The friend that calls you just to tell you they were thinking about you and praying for ya.  Or just to say hi and let you know you were on their mind.  God blessed me with that today when I needed it.

Anyways, things are going good.  Basketball is always a challenge.  Which is why I probably enjoy it so much.  Since I've been told lately that I enjoy the challenges life brings!  That's a joke, but seriously I think I do.  I always persue those things that will probably never come, or not easily anyway.  But that's what makes me unique I suppose.  I mean who would think a 5'4 little white girl could play basketball.  Ok so maybe I can't, but I do try! 

Well I'm off to intermural volleyball...makes me miss the good ol' Lorena Lady Leopard days.  Well, kinda.  God bless each one of you, I love you so so!
